When I first heard Adele sing, I was blown away. There weren’t many female artists at the time who could truly perform their albums live on stage, and there she was. Bold. Strong. Powerful.

Her track “Fire to the Rain” pressed all the right buttons and I fell in love with it the first time I had heard it. So I finally sat down a few months ago and decided to try and recreate it with just a piano and a vocal to really break it down to and help keep the focus on the raw emotion of the lyrics and delivery.

I set fire to the rain – watched it pour as I touched your face…
Well, it burned while I cried, ’cause I heard it screaming out your name…
