I had been wanting to cover a Placebo song for a long time, but could never decide on which one to start with (I have multiple favorites and plan to do additional tracks). I also tend to gravitate to songs to work on based on my mood – and I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to tackle any of their material until now.

When I sat down in the studio – it felt like THIS was the song was the one to cut my teeth on. It has one of my favorite opening guitar riffs of the 90’s, and a vocal delivery that I fell in love with the first time I heard it. It will certainly end up on the set list once I get my 1990s project up and off the ground.

Pucker up for heaven’s sake, there’s never been so much at stake…

Having finally built the studio that I have always wanted to have, and having picked up some serious new software workflows and plugins – it was go time.

This all came together in a few evenings, and I am very happy with the final product. Enjoy.
